The recycled bag project continues. I took the second piece of fabric and turned it 90 degrees (the plastic bag strips are now going up and down instead of side to side). This one is 12"x12"x5". I was able to put 8 cans in the bottom and it seems to be holding well. I need to get B to make a strap (or get permission to do my own from her!). I also have wool fabric fulling in the washing machine at the moment. I think I am enjoying getting back to old hobbies again! And the weather has improved, from -10 on Sat morning to about 20 this morning. Girls are off school today. B is hanging out and Z is working on a report due tomorrow.

Barb, It's great that you are getting back into weaving. The bags are wonderful. Let me know if you ever market them.

I am about to tie the warp back on so I can weave today. I need to make a number and have them tested. I told mom I would send her a couple so maybe she will share one or two with you!! If you get colored shopping bags, let me know! I am actually ripping (well, cutting) through my supply fairly rapidly.

I have the straps on both these now. Z and Tanya both want purses soon. Kim wants some as well. Oh, and so does Mac in SC! CAn not go into production until I get the family squared away.

It is something I am considering including in the weaving class I am teaching this summer.

Great. So you don't need any white, just colored plastic bags??

White seems to be a predominate color for lots of bags. So what I can do there is fancier, more colorful warp designs. Basically, white is fine!
