Augusta week

Hello everyone! We are back and recovering from our week at Augusta Heritage in Elkins, WV. Zoe was part of the Teen Week, I taught beginning weaving and a sampler class in dyeing, braiding, felting and Brigid was my official asst (and a damn fine one at that!). But we are fried! It takes a day or two to realize you are home and just when you think you have recovered, you really get hit with a bad case of the tireds!

As we have gone to Augusta something like 4 or 5 times in 5 or 6 years, we have a lot of camp friends. Z keeps in text with her handful. Bs friend was there again so this is the 3rd time for the girls (I think I posted px of them last year as well!).

We do not have px on the camera of Zs "tribe" although we have video of their performance, which was excellent. There are px on her phone but I am not sure I can download them!

The hats: We did sun dyeing one day. The girls wanted to use theirs as bandanas but I do not htink they were long enough. Somehow, they morphed into what you see above! They ran around Wed - Sat wearing these everywhere! They decided to call themselves Warp and Weft (weaving terms). So funny....I will get some px of the stuff made in weaving class soon.
