So after my last ultrasound on Friday, April 22, 2011 I returned to work and kind of back to normal, at least as normal as I get between softball, soccer, work, etc. My ankle was still sore at times and toward the end of the week it would be swolllen and I would try to elevate it as much as I could. I went back for another ultraasound today, and found out that the clot has actually gone up the back of my calf and almost to the knee again. Needless to say I am on bedrest again. I am only to get up to use the restroom and to eat until Tuesday when I go back to the doctor. And I will probably be off work another week. I guess the blood thinner medicine I was on was not thinning my blood. Now I have been put on a different oral blood thinner. Not exactly the way I want to spend my spring. At least this weekend is a down weekend. No softball or soccer games. It was going to be a clean the house weekend and I guess the dirt and dust will have to wait. I will be reading a few more books. I am hoping to at least be able to sit outside and enjoy some sun, but who knows what the weather will be like.
