Etsy site

Hi everyone. I have a new venture going here. I learned a couple of years ago that when you are weaving present for people, there are some things they do not mind receiving year after year and there are some things they do! Scarves, not so much. Dishtowels, YES! I use ones I wove in 1999 and they are holding up wonderfully.

Dishtowels are fun to weave. They are relatively small, easy and with a nice long warp you can play a lot with color. So I have been weaving dishtowesl. Many of them.

Which means there needs to be an outlet for the towels. I can give many, many away each year (and I do) but I am going to try selling them as well and see what happens. Hence, I have an Etsy site started. If you are not familiar with it, Etsy is a webstore for handmade, vintage and craft supply items. Yes, there are plenty of people selling dishtowels on it! But it is a place to start.

So, if you are bored, check out my store!
http://www.etsy.com/shop/barbweaves Ok, ok, so you think, geez, I am family, I am a friend. Isn;t there a discount rate for me?? Sure there is! Just get a hold of me. I have two boxes of stuff in the house - one for things listed on Etsy and one for those that are not. I will not always have the same exact stuff in both boxes but let me know what you are lookng for and I will search for it or weave it for you.

If I was really nice, I would send you all a towel to test! Or maybe I will bring them up this summer to Mi and let you choose.
