As you all know, the simplest projects never end that way. We knew a couple of years ago we were going to redo the upstairs bath at some point. But at that time, we did not have the full bath in the basement. I was hoping to put in a new tub / shower enclosure at hte end of last week. Um, no. The house is plaster and lathe. And the plaster behind the tub was disintigrating. Harry came over to consult and well...There is no plaster behind the back wall of the tub anymore nor any on the wall to the side. Gads. Now I have to go up and finish cleaning up the mess....goign to let things be for a bit to dry out. We are going to drywall these two walls and decide what to do about the rest of the room.
