Not thawing outside

Well, we had no power for 47 hours, from 10:30 Fri evening through 9:30 last night. Luckily, we have two gas heaters in the house - one in the living room and one in a bedroom. As luck would ave it, the temp went down to 3 degrees Sat night. We spent hours yesterday liberating the cars. I will get px up later but the magnolias and dogwood have really taken a beating. Too cold and snow covered to start clean up. And we are supposed to get more 4-10" starting tomorrow. We shall see. Everyone is very tired but holding up well. The heater in the bedroom kept things in the mid 70s to low 80s on low, so I think the dogs and Brigid are "dry".
