Well, winter is hitting W PA as well as a lot of the mid-Atlantic states. It started about noon and is expected to continue well into tomorrow. They sent hte school kids home early and cancelled all events for the weekend. Brigid is celebrating by catching up on her sleep. SHe has been zonked on the couch since about 5:00 or 5:30 this afternoon.
It is hard to take px in the dark! It is a very wet, heavy snow. There are trees down and breaking in the neighborhood. Half of one of our magnolias is down (which is what the px is - the tree on the left should not have its whole left side touching the ground!) and the pine trees in both yards are very weighted. Had to shovel a path in the yard for Claire again! Its hard having your belly 3" off the ground when there is 5+ inches of snow!
The power keeps going on and off. Luckily, we have two gas heaters in the house (livingroom and one bedroom) so we may have to share sleeping spaces or burrow in covers.
